Which saved records does a result use?

PropRetire uses the saved records that apply on the report date or during the requested period. Dated values, such as an asset value or loan balance, keep their evidence date. Effective periods cover records such as ownership, rent, income, expenses and loan terms. Their end date is exclusive, so a period ending on 1 July does not apply on 1 July.

Check the legal owner, amount, classification and effective dates. When a fact changes, end the old period and add the new one rather than overlapping two versions.

How does a projection use those dates?

The selected start and end dates define the period covered by income, expenses, rent, assets, loans, tax periods and planned property sales. PropRetire splits that timeline at relevant financial-year boundaries, policy changes, record changes and planned events so related calculations use the same dates.

Which assumptions are saved?

Most planning assumptions apply only to the projection or comparison you run. Cash forecast, Property Outlook, Stress test and Refinance save neither those assumptions nor their results.

Retirement is the exception. After a successful calculation, PropRetire saves the latest validated plan assumptions so Portfolio position can recalculate the explicit hold baseline. Retirement results and calculation proofs are not saved.

What does unavailable mean?

An unavailable output is not zero. It means a required record, classification, enacted policy or supported calculation path is missing for that output. Read the reason beside it to see whether a record can be corrected or the path is unsupported. Other amounts can remain available when they have the evidence they need.

What does a calculation proof show?

A calculation proof shows the typed inputs and ordered operations used to derive an accounting amount. It can link to lower-level calculations and to the effective policy where a rule controls a step.

The proof lets you trace the displayed amount. It does not establish that the source records are complete or independently certify that the underlying rule is legally or mathematically correct. Property market estimates and suburb scores use evidence, coverage and limitations instead of accounting proofs. A proof does not turn an estimate into accounting, tax, legal, lending or investment advice.

When should you calculate again?

After you change a saved record or a planning input, the previous result no longer matches those inputs. Calculate again before using the result.
