Cash over the years as stacks across a plate, each year's stack rising in turn

How long does my cash last?

See how each owner's cash moves over the years ahead, and the first day any runs out.

Cash over time carries each legal owner's cash forward month by month, for up to ten years, and names the first day any owner's cash runs out. Daniel and Emma Mitchell's grows to $1,574,842 by November 2036, and every owner's cash lasts.

1. When does cash run out?

Cash at forecast end, Daniel Mitchell and Emma Mitchell: $1,574,842, every legal owner's cash lasting, with the cash path to 2 Nov 2036Cash at forecast end, Daniel Mitchell and Emma Mitchell: $1,574,842, every legal owner's cash lasting, with the cash path to 2 Nov 2036

In the sidebar, Cashflow, then Cash over time. It starts from each owner's cash today. Each month adds income and rent and takes off spending, costs and repayments, and each year's tax settles after 30 June.

When an owner's cash falls below $0, the answer names them, the date and how much more cash they would need.

2. How does each year add up?

Net cashflow by year, every legal owner: +$1,869,894 in all, from +$83,212 in the part year 2026-27Net cashflow by year, every legal owner: +$1,869,894 in all, from +$83,212 in the part year 2026-27

Net cashflow by year, every legal owner, gives each year's surplus or shortfall after its tax settles. The first and last are part years. Appendix A, Forecast by period, lists every year line by line.

3. Which assumptions can I change?

Projection basis, opened: income, rent and expenses each growing 3% a year, with Reset to defaultsProjection basis, opened: income, rent and expenses each growing 3% a year, with Reset to defaults

Choose 1, 3, 5 or 10 years. Projection basis sets the yearly growth in income, rent, expenses, average weekly earnings and CPI, each 3% to start. CPI also gives the cash at the end at today's prices.

Planned income changes keeps a share of an income between two days, such as 0% for a break. Cash accounts chooses the account each owner's money goes in and out of, following Cash routing to start.

Nothing is saved, and leaving the page puts back the defaults. Stress test and Refinance have the same panels.

4. How do I read each owner's forecast?

Lowest cash: Mitchell Family Trust, $13,000 on 3 Nov 2026, beside each other owner's lowest cash and its dateLowest cash: Mitchell Family Trust, $13,000 on 3 Nov 2026, beside each other owner's lowest cash and its date

By owner and offsets opens with Lowest cash. The Mitchell Family Trust's is its $13,000 today. Owner outcomes lists each owner's opening cash, lowest cash and cash at the end, such as Daniel's $988,045.

Cash routed to offsets shows where spare cash lowers a loan's interest. An owner's spare cash moves only into their own offset, never into one held jointly. What an offset account does explains why.

5. What if a figure is missing?

A sheet of cells with one cell lifted clear: the one record a result waits on

When tax can't be estimated, the forecast says why and shows every year before tax. Setup lists every record a result is waiting on, and Future cashflow carries the records further.
