Your account
The account pages hold your names and emails, billing, security and your data. A Business account also has the Business page, for its advisers and size. To open them, select your name in the menu, then Account settings.
The pages are Account, Business, Security, Billing, and Data and privacy. The examples below use the Business example.
1. Names and emails
Account has three parts.
- Sign-in details gives the address you sign in with. Change it on Security.
- Names has Display name, and Business name on a Business account. A client's secure report page is headed with the Business name.
- Emails has Digest emails. When ticked, you get a monthly email on how the position moved, which records need a newer figure and any watched retirement plan that moved. Records that go stale explains it. Emails about your account come either way.
Select Save names and emails. The page reads Names and emails saved. An empty name reads Enter your display name, or Enter the business name.
2. Billing
Personal or Business, the size of a business, and monthly or annual billing are chosen when you register. The plan cannot change after that. A business changes its size on the Business page, and monthly or annual in Manage billing.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Free trial |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | $49 | $439 | 14-day free trial |
| Business, 1 adviser | $399 | $3,599 | 30-day free trial |
| Business, 5 advisers | $800 | $7,199 | 30-day free trial |
| Business, 10 advisers | $1,500 | $13,499 | 30-day free trial |
The free trial starts when you verify your email, and needs no card. Billing then reads Status Free trial, Plan, Billing, such as $49 a month, and Trial ends with the date. It says to save a card in Manage billing to keep access after the trial.
Manage billing opens Stripe. There you save or change the card, read invoices, cancel, and switch between monthly and annual once a card is saved. Stripe calls annual billing yearly. Once paid, Billing reads Active and Renews on, the next charge date.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| No subscription | None has started. Start subscription begins one. |
| Free trial | The trial is running. |
| Active | The subscription is paid. |
| Subscription ending | It was cancelled and stops on the Ends date. |
| Payment needed | Results and changes wait until payment is confirmed in Manage billing. |
| Free trial ended | The trial ended with no card. Add one in Manage billing. |
| Subscription ended | Restart subscription starts it again, with no second free trial. |
| Not confirmed | Billing could not be confirmed. Contact support to restore it. |
| Account deletion in progress | Billing cannot be changed while the account is being deleted. |
Without a current subscription, results are not worked out and records cannot be changed. A page reads Subscription required, with Review billing. Saved records and sent reports stay readable.
In a business, the first adviser, who created it, pays and manages billing. Every other adviser's Billing reads The first adviser, who created the business, pays for this subscription and manages it.
3. Two-step verification
Two-step verification asks for a second check after your password. A Business account must turn it on before clients open. It is optional for Personal.
Security gives Status (On or Off), Passkeys, Authenticator app and Recovery codes. Before setup, the Business example reads Off, None, Not set up and Available after setup.
- A Passkey A sign-in method kept on your device or in your password manager. You use it with your fingerprint, face or screen lock. . Select Add passkey, give it a Name, confirm with your password and select Add passkey.
- An authenticator app, which shows a six-digit code every thirty seconds. Select Set up authenticator, confirm with your password and select Start setup. Scan the code with the app, or copy the setup key. Enter the Authenticator code the app shows.
The first method then shows ten Recovery code A one-time code that stands in for the second step. . Each works once, and they are not shown again. Copy all or Download codes, tick I saved these codes somewhere secure and select Continue to sign in. Store them where you would store a passport. Generate new recovery codes replaces every unused one.
Adding or removing a method ends the session, and the page asks you to sign in again. A Business account keeps at least one method, so add the other before removing the last.
4. Sessions, password and sign-in email
Active sessions lists each signed-in device or browser, with when it signed in and was last seen. Each row names the browser and system, such as Chrome on Linux, and your own reads This device. Sign out on a row ends that session.
Password needs your Current password, a New password and Confirm new password. A new password has at least 8 characters. Changing it signs out every device. Forgot your current password? opens Reset your password.
Sign-in email, under Password, is folded. Open it, enter the New email, confirm it is you and select Change email. The new address takes over once you open the link sent to it. Until then the current one keeps working, and Cancel pending change stops the change.
5. Who works in a business?
Every adviser linked to a business sees the same clients, requests and reports. The Business page lists them with Name, Email and Joined. Joined is the day each adviser joined the business.
Only the first adviser, who created the business, can do these.
- Send an invitation by email. The invited adviser sets their own name and password from the emailed link, and joins with no plan of their own. Invitations open lists each with End.
- Remove an adviser. They lose access to every client at their next request.
- Change the Size to 1, 5 or 10 advisers. A box gives the new price, such as $800 a month, before you confirm. Each adviser adds 50 clients.
The plan is full when advisers and open invitations reach its size. The Business example is sized for 1 adviser and has one, so it reads Your plan is full. Change the size to invite more.
Any other adviser can Leave. A box says they lose access to every client of the business and are signed out.
6. Your data
Data and privacy gives the date your data is held since, then What PropRetire holds, a count by kind. The Business example reads Portfolios 4 for its four clients, then Legal owners, Properties and the other records. Payment details reads Held by Stripe.
Download your data saves all of it as one file, propretire-account-data.json. Email a correction request opens an email to ask for a correction or raise a privacy question under the Privacy Act. The privacy policy says how each is handled.
7. Deleting the account
- On Data and privacy, select Review account deletion.
- Give your password, and your second step when it is on.
- Select Request permanent deletion, then type your display name to confirm.
The page then reads Deletion requested, with the day every record is deleted, fourteen days on. A request on 13 Oct 2026 deletes on 27 Oct 2026. The subscription stops renewing at once, and your other devices are signed out. Until that day the account can be read but not changed.
Cancel deletion keeps everything, though renewal stays off. On the day, every record the account owns is deleted, the subscription is cancelled and your Stripe customer is deleted with the saved card. Stripe keeps the payment records the law requires.
8. What if something is refused?
- A Business account with two-step verification off reads Two-step verification is required on Security. Set up a passkey or authenticator first.
- An invitation to an adviser already in the business, or already invited, reads That address already belongs to this business, or an invitation to it is still open.
- A size below the advisers linked reads This business holds 2 advisers, for example. Remove an adviser before choosing a smaller size.
- The first adviser of a business with other advisers reads Other advisers are still in this business when they ask to be deleted. Remove them, or ask them to leave, first.
